The 2Dscanner is designed and manufactured in Greece, at the facilities of 2Dscanner LP in Xanthi. Hardware design, firmware and apps are all developed in-house. The idea came from our founder, mechanical engineer Dimitris Papachastas, when he realized that the market lacked a simple, accurate tool for measuring spaces in two dimensions. The need first arose in furniture making, where every millimeter counts, and the first 2Dscanner was built in 2019.
Since then, the 2Dscanner has been continuously refined based on the experience of its users. Today it is a mature, reliable tool for architects, engineers, surveyors and craftsmen. It is available throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland. It is not yet available in the USA.
